February 27, 2013 Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
Hi All you Fine Etsy Sellers, Beautiful Ladies and Extremely Handsome Gentlemen,

Pegs, here, over at `
DAnnsCreations
Hope everyone had a Fantastic Holidazzle as well as lots of chocolates and sales with the beginning of the New Year!

Our roof is finally finished, now on to the next project in our adventures in DIY, wonderful entertainment with our House.

Back in August of last year we had an encounter with wind and rain which took out the ceilings in our kitchen, family room, both bath rooms and our Master bedroom, the front of the house was covered, so we were fortunate not all the house was taken out. During the cleanup, asbestos was found in our flooring tiles as well as the popcorn ceilings. The insurance abatement took care of that mess, course, now we have no cabinets, flooring, some walls have been taken down to the rafter/studs, lets just say we have to become very creative with the little insurance money we've received. I'll share all of our trials and tribulations with home repairs, over at my `
DAnnsCreations page, if any are interested in our comedy of happenstances!

I've been so busy with my mess at home, had no idea our Super Group had expired till I tried to change/update by adding our Member's and their shops to our listings, have since taken care of that!

Also, I have a few articles in the wings, just to let you all know; you may receive a quick note saying Featured, with quite a few of our Member's together, look for the announcements! deviantART does Not like it when we spam member's with notes, so I will keep it as personal and brief as I can.

You all know how talkative I can be so, no promises!

Also working on adding a few more Contributors that have expressed an interest in helping out ... will let you know when that is ready to go!
With all of us working together to enjoy deviantART this is going to be
FUN!! and really what is art without FUN?

Conflict & Resolution PolicyGeneral Announcements4/24/2012My apologies to everyone for up and vanishing. Buying a house is stressful by itself. Add to that packing to move after 10 years in the same apartment and surprise car repairs and my brain starts melting out of my ears.
But now that my first time home owner brain fog has lifted, I have officially passed the torch of "founder" over to `
DAnnsCreations. Even with my life calming down I don't think I'll ever be able to dedicate the time to this group like I want to.
I'm still listed as a co-founder so I can help Pegs along. She can bop me on the nose via Facebook if something breaks.

BrightEyedCreatures6/10/2011 First off, I would like to thank everyone for responding to the poll about reselling on Etsy. It was good to see where people stand on this issue.
I took a step back and realized both DeviantArt & Etsy already have systems in place for dealing with this kind of thing.
1) DeviantArt has given us a "Report Deviation" link on the right hand side of every submission. It's right underneath Statistics and should be in blue. If you come across something ANYWHERE on DeviantArt that you do not believe was made by the submitter, this may be a copyright violation. If you're unsure, feel free to send me a private note, or better yet -contact the DA Help Desk.
I can tell you guys from personal experience large corporations do not mess around when they find something they feel is their property used without their permission somewhere online. They may not come after you directly, but they will come after DeviantArt directly. People who think they're safe because they're using something mass produced are actually MORE at risk because large corporations have the money for lawyers who can spend their time searching the internet for someone to sue.

FAQ #157: Can I use things created by other people in my submissions?2)
Etsy recently announced they were cracking down on reselling and they are using the system they have in place currently along with an automated system called SCRAM.
If you come across something you don't feel is in the spirit of Etsy you can report the item OR the whole shop. (Also known as flagging.)
Once again, if you are unsure please feel free to contact me directly, or contact Etsy support. (Don't go to the Etsy forums. Etsy considers this calling out and might take action against you rather than the offender.)
What Items Can't I Sell on Etsy? From their Do's and Don'ts ArticleLastly, as I am currently in charge of accepting membership requests, I am taking time to really look at people's shops to make sure their products are hand crafted. I will not be reporting anyone I feel is breaking the rules, but I will be giving them a nudge in the right direction. More importantly, I won't accept requests to join that are from resellers. I'm not psychic so everyone will have a chance to prove to me that their work belongs here but I will want to hear more about their creative process before I will click "yes".

BrightEyedCreatures on this and will be noting anyone I feel is a reseller, but will also be giving all a chance to prove their works should be here. Like Jenn, I am NOT psychic and honestly do not recognize the difference all the time, I personally, love to buy from FireMountainGems and local gemologists, and reuse some of Mom's old jewelry. Thank goodness for Regretsy,
